Getting to Breckenridge
Breckenridge is located in Summit Country, Colorado.
Grand Timber Lodge is only 80 miles from downtown Denver, yet it feels a world away! In the winter, step out your door and ski to the lifts of Breckenridge Ski Resort. In summer, enjoy an afternoon hike or walk a few blocks to downtown Breckenridge.
There are two airports that service Breckenridge. Denver International Airport is located 95 miles from Breckenridge, and Eagle/Vail Regional Airport is located in Gypsum, about 60 miles west on I-70.
Transportation from the airport to Breckenridge is fast and easy! You can take a shuttle service such as Colorado Mountain Express or rent a car. Shuttles will take you directly from the airport to Grand Timber Lodge, and all of the national car rental agencies have offices at both DIA and Eagle/Vail.
Once you are at Grand Timber Lodge, getting around is easy whether you have your own transportation or not. Breckenridge and Summit County have great roads and some of the best snow removal systems in the world. If you don’t have your own transportation, Breckenridge and Summit County offer convenient and free public transportation services that can take you to any corner of Breckenridge and Summit County.
