Resort Activities Descriptions

(All Activities Require Reservations)

Beauty Kits – This lovely activity will leave you feeling accomplished and refreshed! We provide the ingredients to make bath salts, sugar scrub, lip balm and a candle! Great for gifting or treating yourself! Meet in the Game Room in Building 2, 3rd floor. Cost per kit is $25 and includes all items listed. RSVP to activities at ext. #3010. This is limited to 10 participants.

BINGO – BINGO! Get together with other guests for a little lighthearted competition! Four rounds of BINGO are played with the opportunity to win a prize at the end of each round. The more folks that join us, the greater the prizes, so bring your friends and join us for a great evening activity!

Build a Buddy – Bring a great souvenir home after completing this engaging activity suitable for all ages and ability levels. With mountain wildlife in mind there are a few fun buddies to choose from! Pick a bear, moose, or fox to stuff! Complete your project with a t-shirt to decorate to your taste.

Campfire Stories – Join our activities staff in this fun gathering for kids and adults alike. We will sit around the campfire and share our best tales with one another! Enjoy a few marshmallows as well. This activity is complementary and we love to hear your stories and jokes!

Candle Making – Come make unique wine glass candles with different fragrances and colors. Perfect for the upcoming
Holidays! You can make as many as you would like. Cost is $8 per candle or two for $14.

Family Game Night – Join us in the Day Use Room while we offer a number of different games to be played with family and friends! Board games, cards, trivia, fun competition and more! Our activities staff will be there to answer any questions you may have regarding planning activities during your stay! This is a complementary activity! RSVP with activities at ext. 3010.

Family Movie Night – Tuesdays at 7 p.m., we will be showing a family-friendly movie in the Grand Room in Building 1. No reservations necessary.

Family Photos: On Site – Our staff will spend 20 minutes with you and your family here at Grand Timber Lodge to capture that vacation memory with Breckenridge’s stunning mountain backdrop. The cost is only $40 per session, and we will email you 20+ photos! Please enquire at the Activities Center, for availability. Meet in the Activities Center Building 6 on the ground floor. Call or email for availability as windows open frequently! 

Family Photos: Off Site – This is a Grand opportunity to get some quality photos, and at the FRACTION of a cost! We will spend 20 minutes with you capturing the essence of your vacation and Breckenridge. The cost is only $60 per session and your edited photos will be emailed directly to you. We will meet you at the Sawmill Reservoir, just minutes away! Call or email for availability as windows open frequently! 

Fishing Adventure – This exciting new activity will allow you and your family to get out for a quick fishing trip at the Sawmill Reservoir. We hike up to the reservoir with all of our necessary fishing equipment, settle in, and fish for about an hour. Our staff provide rod, reel, bait, net and expertise! It’s a great experience for first-time fishermen or someone who wants a relaxed getaway from the resort during your stay!

Glass Etching – We have glass beer mugs and wine glasses that you can place stencils on and etch your own design. $8 per glass: RSVP with Activities at ext. 3010.  Meet in the Game Room in Building 2, 3rd floor.

Guided Hike – Our guided hikes are tailored to your ability level. We have a hike that is just off of our property that we greatly enjoy exploring with our guests! Walk through the wildflowers and make your way to the Sawmill Reservoir for beautiful views and a quiet walk around the lake. The activities staff love sharing our knowledge.

Kites – Each participant will get to decorate and put together your own kite! We will step outside, fly our kites if the weather allows and talk about great spots in Summit County to use your new toy! Enjoy decorating your own kite so you and your friends can identify whose kite is flying through the air at any given time!

Mosaics – We make mosaics easy in this class! With different coaster sizes to choose from, including a butterfly shape, you can put your creativity to the test! All you have to do is glue the tiles to your piece and we take care of the rest! We grout your piece and have it ready the next day. Join us for a unique activity that you can use in your home or give as a gift!

Poolside Activities – Take a break from the water with our activities staff! Keep an eye out on the calendar and for staff announcements during these afternoon activities. They will vary from day to day and week to week as we love to keep you on your toes! Enjoy any activity with your family from blowing bubbles to tag games. These activities are complementary and weather dependent.

Ready Paint Fire Paint Session – Decorate a piece of pottery, and have it fired with a glaze finish. Items vary from $10 – $40 each. RSVP with Activities. Meet in the Day Use Room in Building 6.

Scavenger Hunts – Please visit the activities desk in Building 6 to enquire about on- and off-site scavenger hunts.

S’mores – Join the activities team by the fire and indulge in a little sweet treat at the end of your day. Whether it be a beautiful summer day or one of our famously snowy winters, a s’more always tastes good. We provide all of the ingredients, you just stop by and enjoy while chatting with the activities staff. Feel free to ask any questions regarding your stay or fun things to do while you are in town!

Suminagashi – Suminagashi is the Japanese process of marbling plain paper with water and ink. This will transform your paper into a vibrant piece of art to make into a booklet or greeting card. This activity is great for all ages and ability levels. Our activities staff will work with you to create many test pieces before your final piece!

Survival Bracelets – Both fun and functional, learn to make a bracelet handy in the wilderness. RSVP with Activities at ext. 3010.  The cost is $8 per bracelet.  Meet in the Game Room in Building 2, 3rd floor.

Tie Dye T-Shirts – Tie dye a T-shirt for $15, or bring your own shirt for $10. RSVP requested with the Activities Desk in Building 6. Meet in the Day Use Room in Building 6, minimum of three people required.

A Taste of Ghostly Breckenridge – Enjoy samples of craft beer, cocktails, fresh coffee as well as appetizers and other culinary delights while we entertain you with Ghostly Tales of Breckenridge’s past in the warmth of four of our popular eating/drinking establishments!  $30/adult, $25/children ages 12-4. Meet in the Grand Room at 6:45. RSVP with Activities by NOON. This is limited to 12 people.  No refund if cancelling after 2:00.

Yoga Classes –  Start your day off with a rejuvenating yoga class.  Reservations should be made with the Front Desk by 9 p.m. the night before the class. A minimum of three students is required and it costs $12 per person. Located in the Mezzanine in Building 1.
