The Breckenridge Nordic Center: Serving as the closest Nordic center to Grand Timber Lodge, the Breckenridge Nordic Center is located just one mile away from our resort on Ski Hill Road. It offers over 30 kilometers of cross-country ski trails through spruce forests and open meadows. The Nordic center also has recently developed a new trail system in the neighboring Peak 7 area, with trails winding through the beautiful White River National Forest. If you are searching for a truly majestic experience, check out the moonlight snow-shoe tours throughout the Nordic center. You can also reserve a daily guided tour. Passes and equipment are available at the trailhead daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The Gold Run Nordic Center: Located just a few miles away from Grand Timber Lodge at the Breckenridge Golf Club, the Gold Run Nordic Center offers over 25 kilometers of groomed trails for classic and skate skiing and 10 kilometers of marked snow-shoe trails. You will not be disappointed with the panoramic views of the Tenmile Range, Gore Range and Continental Divide as you ski the day away on this beautiful terrain. For those guests with advanced abilities, the backcountry access into the Golden Horseshoe Mining District is something that you will not want to miss! No matter what level you are skiing, you will be pleased to discover a friendly and professional staff, the opportunity for private or group lessons for all ages, as well as a Rossignol Demo Center featuring the finest equipment for you to rent or purchase.
The Frisco Nordic Center: While you might have to travel 9 miles from Grand Timber Lodge to access the Frisco Nordic Center, the trails and views winding around the Frisco Peninsula and shores of Lake Dillon will prove to be worth every second of the short drive there! With over 40 kilometers of trails to explore through classic and freestyle cross-country skiing technique, you and your family can enjoy the mountain fresh air of the afternoon and even stop into the Log Lodge for a snack.
